All spirit guides are important and all spirit guides have a special place in my heart. Each of us have a joy guide
that is with us from the moment we are born. They represent our inner child and us. They are full of
joy, laughter, fun and can be mischievous if we do not give them work to do to keep them busy. Joy guides have that child-like innocence. They will let us know when it is time to lighten up by hiding our glasses or keys, or by knocking a glass of water over. I have also tripped before, because I was tripping myself up on something being too serious.
They would never do anything to hurt us, but they will get our attention when we are taking things too seriously. Joy guides will remind us to have fun, to be adventurous and to be playful in life. Think about it. With everything happening in the world today and with each of our challenges in life from the moment we are born, joy guides are extremely important.
Joy guides are small in stature yet they have big energy. Do not ever think that just because a joy guide is small and
child-like that they are not a highly intelligent being. Just as with all spirit guides, they know more than we know about our selves and can see
everything about us and that is around us, all of the time.
A great example of how important joy guides are is when I learned that I had two joy guides. Little Flower and Tulip. They are twin sisters. When I found out about this, I was so honored and grateful to have the additional support. It was explained to me that because I had some heavy hitting things in life that would be happening, Little Flower called in reinforcements to support me even more than she already was. This was sometime back in 2023. There would be family challenges, emotional challenges, spiritual challenges, body and health challenges that I would have to get through. My greatest challenge would be allowing joy back into my life consistently.
They were completely right. Some serious family challenges ensued, I lost my sister suddenly and I began to have to
look at myself much deeper in ways that I had not done before. I have had to peel back, and I still am, layers of childhood muck, conditioning from
family, society and my own self. This is a representation of how much we are loved in Spirit, by our spirit guides. They always have our back,
even when we become too busy in life, too distracted or caught up in making excuses about any and everything rather than living our most authentic life.
I cannot begin to tell you how important Little Flower and Tulip are to me. I make an effort to acknowledge them and make them a part of my everyday life by calling them in, asking them for help and asking them to do things for me with no ego. I talk to them. I also am aware that the best thing to offer them in exchange is to do my work here. This is much easier if I am being honest, when I am not getting in my own way.
I have noticed when I am not getting in my own way, I see them as a tiny, bright, twinkle of light around me or in front of me somewhere to let me know they are there, to validate something I am thinking or to just say hello. It looks like a fluttering of sparkly white light. I am honored and filled with gratitude that they love me so much. If they love me so much then I have a responsibility to love myself just as much, amiright? To be able to see how beautiful Little Flower and Tulip are allows me to see how beautiful I am since they are a reflection of me and I am a reflection of them. They are my best friends and I would not change it for anything. I love them dearly.
So too do you have a joy guide. Begin practicing acknowledging them every single day and watch the magic happen.
Peace & Blessings,
Shel
